Intro

This document outlines the workflow and functionalities of the Setup tab in ML Platform.

The goal of this new feature is to provide clients visibility and accessibility into the setup process, meaning that you will be able to:

  1. Access and keep track all of your active Insertion Orders

  2. View how the IO’s budget is being spent across Line Items

  3. Review and approve Line Items' criteria before they go Live

Manage Insertion Orders

Upon navigating to the Setup tab, you will be directed to the Insertion Orders page. Here you will be able to keep track of all of your Signed IOs.

The top section, provides a summary of the all the IOs in Setup and their corresponding status:

  1. New: The IO was recently signed and no action is required at this moment

  2. Pending Approval: At least one line item in the IO requires Client’s approval in order to go live

  3. Approved: All line items in the IO have been approved by the Client or are currently live. No action is required at the time

  4. Live: All line items in the IO have been set live and no further action is required. You can keep track of your Programs' pacing and performance under the “Measure” tab

Underneath this section, you will be able to find a list of all IOs currently in Setup , together with a breakdown by status of the Line Items in the IO.

  • Note: The table is automatically sorted by Status (Pending Approval first) and by Start Date. You will be able to change the sorting by using the arrows next to each column label

To track the progress and approve Line Items within an IO, click on the IO Name and you will be redirected to the IO Details Page

Track Line Item Progress

On this page you will be able to track the progress and status of all of the Line Item within the IO.

The top summary section contains a breakdown of the line items by status.

The Line Item’s table showcases all of the line items within the IO, sorted by status (Pending Approval first) and descending start date.

Just like the IOs, Line Items can have 4 different statuses:

  • New: Line Item was recently created and is currently being setup. No action is required by the user at this moment.

  • Pending Approval: All required information have been uploaded and user needs to approve that all of the information are correct. More info on how to do so in the following section

    • Note: Not all Line Item categories have the same set of required info. More info can be found here.

  • Approved: The user has approved the Line Item and the Madison Logic team is preparing the remainder of the information in order to set the line item Live. Approvals cannot be reverted, meaning that if you need to make any changes after you approved a line item, you will need to contact your Madison Logic POC.

    • Note: Approved does not equal Live. In fact, once a line item is approved you may expect to wait up to 5 days before the line item goes live. More info can be found in the FAQ section.

  • Live: Line Item is currently serving

To view the information uploaded for each line item, click on the Line Item Name to access the Line Item Details Page

Approve Line Items

Once on the Line Item details page, you will be able to review the information and material associated to the selected Line Items. If all of the info are correct, it will be time to Approve the line item.

Overall, there is a total of 3 possible sections for each line item. Below you can find a description of each one, together with the relevant required information:

  1. Audience: Starting from a Target Account List (which could either be provided by the client or generated via ML DataCloud) , the audience leverages Targeting criteria, such as Firmographic, Technographic, and Intent Data to narrow down the list to only target the accounts matching the client’s marketing strategy

    1. You may download the full TAL by clicking on the download icon (⬇ ) next to the name

  2. Form Fields: These are the fields that will appear on the Form for Content Syndication Assets

    1. Some fields, such as Job Title, will require the selection of one or more values. In these cases, all of the possible selected values will be displayed underneath the fields' label

  3. Assets: For both Display and Content Syndication Assets, you will be able to review the Asset Preview once put together by the ML team.

    1. Note: Asset preview is just a staging environment, not the live content. This means that while of all of information will remain the same, such as the Form Fields or the Overview text, the layout and graphics will look different on the Live content

Not all line item types required the same set of info in order to go live. Therefore, only the required sections will be shown on this Product Details Page:

Once you had the chance to review all of these fields and info are correct, it will be time to Approve the Line Item by clicking on the “Approve Line Item” button.

It’s important to point out 3 things:

  1. If for some reason some of the Line Item’s info are incorrect, make sure to contact your the Madison Logic Team ASAP so we can promptly fix the mistake.

  2. Once a line item is approved , the status will not be able to be reverted. This means that if you require us to make any changes to the Line Item after it was approved, you won’t be able to approve these changes within the platform anymore. Therefore, please pay double check all of the info before Approving a Line Item

  3. Once a Line Item is approved, it will take us up to 6 days to set the Line item live. This is because the Operation team will need to review all of the information, setup Lead Delivery templates, and wait for a Partner to pick up the allocated leads

Live Line Items

Once line items are live, you will be able to track their pacing progress under the Measure > Performance tab
