Introduction
This document presents an installation and user guide towards a Salesforce Managed packaged app developed and hosted privately on Salesforce.com. If you are interested in Sales Insights in your Salesforce Account, you first have to link your ML Platform account to your Salesforce Instance.
Authorize Salesforce
- Click on Integrations in the Setup tab
- Click Connect on the Salesforce tile
- Choose which Salesforce.com environment you want to connect to
- You will be directed to authenticate your SFDC instance with Madison Logic. You will need to enter your SFDC username and password, and grant permission for Madison Logic to leverage your SFDC data. You must have admin rights in Salesforce in order to integrate it with the ML Platform.
- Once your Salesforce.com is authenticated, click Setup Measurement
Manage Integration
- Choose the SFDC environment you want to integrate Sales Insight.

- Please note, even though the images below shows Development selected, make sure you choose Production if you are installing the package for your sales team to utilize.
- Enter the Salesforce Organization ID of the SFDC instance you've selected & click Save. (More information on finding your Salesforce Organization ID can be found here)

Package Installation in Salesforce
- Log in to Salesforce in a new window
- Click the package link under the Salesforce Package section in MLP to install the package
- Enter MadLogicABM into the password field
- Select the group of users or user profiles that the package will be installed for and click

In some cases, the installation may take more time than expected. In such situations, Salesforce does the installation offline and sends an email to the user post installation. After you receive the email confirmation, follow the steps in our offline installation here rather than the below.

Edit Shared Key
If the Salesforce admin has entered wrong shared key by mistake, he/she can update the shared key as below:
Go to Set Up > Custom Setting > Settings > Manage
Click on the Edit button of ML Shared Key to update the shared key
Package Listing
The Madison Logic installed package can be viewed under the installed packages in Salesforce
After successful installation of the “Madison Logic Sales Insight” package, the Salesforce admin will receive a confirmation email from support@salesforce.com.
Authorization and Assigning Layouts

The Salesforce Admin needs to then add the Madison Logic Section to the company's current Salesforce Account Layout by completing the following steps:
- Go to Setup > Accounts > Layouts

2. Assign the Account (ML Data layout) to users profile
- Click on the Page Layout Assignment button
- Click on Edit Assignment button

- will be shown. Click Edit next to Account Layout, or whichever custom layout you use to show accounts.
- Create a new section in the Account Layout
- On top of the Edit Page Layout page, select Fields and then click Section
- Drag the new section to where you want Madison Logic Sales Insights to appear on the Salesforce page
- On top of the Edit Page Layout page, select Fields and then click Section
- Set the Section Properties
- Section Name = "Madison Logic Sales Insights"
- Layout = 1-Column
- Add Madison Logic Data to the new section
- Select "Visualforce Pages" on the top, edit control
- Click "ViewMadisonLogicSalesInsights" and drag in it into the newly created section
- Format the new section
- Hover in the new "Madison Logic Sales Insight" section
- Either double click in the section or select the tool icon on the top right hand side of the section
- Madison Logic recommends the following format settings. Feel free to adjust as needed:
- Width = 100%
- Height = 600 pixels
- Show scrollbars
- Click "Save" to save changes to the layout
Grant API read access to all custom settings for selected user group(s)
You will need to provide ‘view all’ custom setting(read only) to non-admin user to permit access. This will allow non-admin users to view the iframe within the account object.
1. From Setup, enter Schema Settings in the Quick Find box, and make sure that the Restrict access to custom settings org permission is enabled.
2. Enter Profiles or Permission Sets in the Quick Find box.
3. Click the name of the profile or permission set that you want to edit.
4. Click System permissions.
5. Check the View All Custom Settings permission.
6. Click Save
ML Platform Account Analytics Dashboard
Authorized users can view ActivateABMTMML Platform's Account details on the account detail page under a the new section (ML Account Data Section).

Syncing Accounts
Madison Logic uses the website object to sync your targeted accounts with Salesforce. In order to insure that accounts in Salesforce are synced with Madison Logic, please make sure that the website field on the Salesforce Account page is filled in.

Troubleshooting
Authentication Code Error - If there is any issue with the authentication code that was entered, the following error message will appear:
To resolve this issue, ensure the following settings are properly configured:
- The authentication key matches the key generated in the ML.Platform. The key can always be retrieved in real time from the setup page within ML Platform
- The Salesforce Organization ID and environment aligns with the Salesforce instance you're installing the Sales Insights package in
Connection Error - If there is an issue with connecting the ML Platform, the following error message will appear:
No domain mapped errorDomain Mapped Error - If any domain is not available in account's Website field, the following error message will appear. The admin will need to add the domain name in the Website field to see ActivateABMTMsee ML Platform's data.
No data available error Data Available Error - ML Account Data Section will display a No Data Available message if no match is found between the website field for the salesforce Salesforce account and the associated domain in ActivateABMTM ML Platform for any program you are running.

The following steps are to remove Madison Logic's package from your Salesforce.
- Remove the Account Layout assignment of (Account ML Data Layout) from the assigned profiles.(Refer: Authorizing and assigning Layouts)
- Navigate to Set Up > Installed Packages > ML Package and Click the uninstall link
- Select the option “Do not save a copy of this package’s data after uninstall”
- Check "Yes I want to uninstall this package and click on the Uninstall package"
- The package will be uninstalled completely. To verify navigate to the package listing page, ML package will not be visible in the provided listing.(Refer: PACKAGE LISTING Package Listing)
