ML Platform V3.4.6: LinkedIn Program and Asset Level Reporting

Updates as of Wednesday 25th August, 2021

In order to provide actionable data and insights for LinkedIn integrated programs in ML Platform, we are making some changes to how we report on LinkedIn delivery at the program and asset levels. Since launching the integration last year, we found that supporting both account and program level analytics introduced some reporting differences between Madison Logic and LinkedIn platforms.

To provide granular account level reporting in the ML Platform, ML reports on LinkedIn delivery by account and creative.

  • As a result of LinkedIn’s Member Privacy Policy, when aggregating account or asset level delivery on LinkedIn, the LinkedIn API’s don’t expose any engagement metrics with a value less than 3.

  • Aggregating these differences across all target accounts can show a significant aggregated difference between account level and program level analytics.

As of Wednesday 25th August, we now report on all LinkedIn delivered impressions and engagements at the program level in ML Platform.

  • In ML Platform, total LinkedIn engagements will now be more aligned with LinkedIn Campaign Reporting

  • As program level engagements may include delivery that is not appearing in Account level delivery due to LinkedIn’s Member Privacy Policy, in ML Platform, account level engagements WILL NOT add up to the program level

You can find more details from LinkedIn on the reporting impact of their Member Privacy Policy here.
