Requirements

The HubSpot Post URL allows Madison Logic to seamlessly send lead data to HubSpot. To create the HubSpot POST URL we need:

  • Portal ID (often called the Hub ID)
    • Every HubSpot account has a unique Portal ID, which is used to help identify your account. It is also used when connecting outside integrations, like Madison Logic, to your HubSpot account
  • Form GUID
    • The form GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) is a 128-bit integer number used for identification. The GUID is required when using HubSpot's Forms API.

Installation

  1. To find your Portal ID, click your account name in the top right corner. Your Portal ID will appear in the menu under your account name.
  2. To find a Form GUID for an existing form, navigate to Marketing > Lead Capture > Forms
  3. Click the name of the form
  4. In the upper right hand side of the page, click Share.
  5. In the dialog box, look for the formID attribute value in the embed code, which is the form GUID. The form GUID also appears in the page URL when you're in the form editor.
  6. Together, the Portal ID and GUID create the post URL Madison Logic needs to send leads to HubSpot
    1. For example, using the information we've collected
  7. Navigate to Lead Focus
  8. Select the HTTP Option and enter in the POST URL we just generated
