In order to connect your Marketo instance to Madison Logic, you will need to create a service within the LaunchPoint section of Marketo. Once the service is created, we'll be able to use the Marketo generated credentials to establish a connection between the two platforms.

Requirements

  • Marketo Admin access

To setup the implementation, we need 3 items from your Marketo instance:

  1. Client ID
  2. Client Secret
  3. Identity URL

Creating a Service 

  • Have a Marketo Admin log into your Marketo Account
  • Click Admin 
  • Click "LaunchPoint"

  • In the header, select "New" > "New service" 

  • Enter a Display Name (ex: Madison Logic Journey Acceleration) and select "Custom" from service dropdown list

  • Add a description (ex: Madison Logic Journey Acceleration Integration) and select the email address associated with your API Only User. If this user and role hasn't been created, you can follow the steps here to do so. Please note that you must create an API Only User Role before the API Only User can be created 

  • Click "Create"
  • Click “View Details” next to the new service you just created
  • Copy the “Client ID” and “Client Secret” codes in the popup window. Keep these handy, then click “Close”

  • In the left-hand navigation click “Web Services” and copy the “Identity URL” underneath “REST API” section. Keep this handy as well
