Accessing ML Platform via Single Sign-On

There are two different sign-in methods that can be used to access ML Platform:

1. Create a new set of login credentials

2. Set up Federated Single Sign-On

Federated Single Sign-On (SSO) enables your team to login to ML Platform securely and seamlessly. Follow this document for more information on how to get SSO set up for your team.

What is Federated SSO?

Federated SSO is an optional sign in method for ML Platform. It establishes a trusted relationship between your organization and Madison Logic so that your users login and are authorized in ML Platform via Single Sign-On with their employee credentials.

Do I need to set up SSO?

Whilst setting up SSO is optional, it is recommended to improve the login experience for your team and enhance security. Getting Federated SSO set up is a standard process which is quick and easy to implement following the steps in this document.

Step by Step Guide

Setting up Federated SSO is a standard IT process which requires a lightweight integration.

Step 1: Submit a Request to your ML Team

• To get set up, send a request to your ML Customer Success Manager and provide the following information:

  • (1) Contact details (Name, Phone Number and Email) for the IT Support Contact within your organization who will be setting up SSO

  • (2) Example employee email address. The email domain(s) will be used to identify your users.

  • (3) Indicate which of the following authentication frameworks your organization uses: SAML 2.0, OpenIDConnect, OAUTH 2.0*

    • *At present, ML only supports integrations with SAML 2.0

Step 2: Complete Integration

• Using the details provided, the Madison Logic IT team will provide your chosen contact person with a file containing the following details:

  • IDP ID

  • Assertion Consumer Service URL

  • Audience URL

• Fill out the details and provide back to Madison Logic to complete the integration

Step 4: Deploy Single Sign-On

• Let your team know that the next time they login to ML Platform they will use SSO, and they cannot use their previously created ML login credentials.

• Please note that SSO will be enabled for all users with the email domain provided.

• You can check whether SSO is enabled and manage access via Manage Users in ML Platform.
