Manual File Upload Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Create a .csv file that contains the following 3 fields from their CRM. A template is available on ML Platform.
    Account Name
    Account ID
    Domain

  2. On the Gong Setup screen, the user should select Manual Upload

  3. Select whether this is an Overwrite or Append upload.

    1. Overwrite - this action will wipe all accounts from the ML Platform and only use the accounts in the selected file. This is to be used if the client wants to remove Accounts from the platform, or if there was an error in the previous upload(s).

    2. Append - this will add Accounts that are in the file to the ML Platform, and will not erase any existing Accounts. This is to be used if the client is providing periodic updates for their CRM Accounts list that may not have existed in their CRM during previous uploads.

    3. For first-time uploads, the only option is Overwrite.

  4. Select the file to upload and add it to the website, either by dragging or manually selecting the file.

  5. The system automatically checks the file and auto-completes the mapping if the file has field names (headers) that match the template.

    1. You have the option of selecting different field names (headers) in the file if you did not use a standard file.

  6. Preview and confirm the correct fields are selected and see the number of records ML Platform recognizes.

  7. If you are happy with the preview, click Save.

  8. If you want to make changes to their file, click View/Replace file and return to Step 2 after making updates.

Now return to the standard setup and authentication to continue the process.
