Prerequisites

Note that all of these must be met in order to be able to use Madison Logic's Gong integration

1. An activated a Salesforce integration with ML Platform OR a manual upload file

2. Using Gong Engage (paid) as a Sales Intelligence tool

3. Have Gong Admin privileges in order to be able to install the Madison Logic app from the Gong App Library

4. Have an ML Platform account



Step 1 - Authenticate your Gong credentials on ML Platform

1. Navigate to the Madison Logic platform and log in

2. From the navigation bar, select Manage Integrations

   Open

   

   

3. Identify the Sales Intelligence window and click the Connect button under Gong

   Open

   

   

4. Allow the platform to connect to your Gong account

   

5. Click Setup

   

6. Confirm Salesforce/Manual Upload and Account Insights

   1. NOTE: In order to map accounts between ML Platform and Gong, either a Salesforce connection or the Manual Upload option must be used.

Step 2 - Create ML Platform licenses for Gong Users

1. From the navigation bar, select Manage Integrations

   

2. Click Manage under Users

   

3. The New Users tab shows your Gong users who do not have ML Platform licenses

4. Select the users who need ML Platform licenses. Users require an ML Platform license in order to view Madison Logic Insights in Gong.

   1. Note that licenses are free of charge

      

5. Click Create Users

6. The users will receive an activation email from ML Platform to complete the account creation process. After completing it, they will be able to consume Madison Logic intelligence within Gong (see Using the Integration for how to access the data within Gong).





Step 3 - Install the Madison Logic App from the Gong App Library

1. In Gong, navigate to Company Settings

   

2. Under Ecosystem, select Integrations

   

3. Search for the Madison Logic application





Step 4 - Using the Integration

1. In Gong, select Engage and Accounts

   

2. Select an Account

3. Click on the Madison Logic tab

   

4. Consume the same Account Journey and Persona Matrix data within Gong

2. HOW DOES MADISON LOGIC AUTHENTICATE WITH YOUR GONG ACCOUNT?   

   • To connect your Gong account with Madison Logic, you will need:  

     • Gong's login credentials (User must have the ability to install applications from the Gong Marketplace)  

     • ML Platform login credentials   

     • An active Salesforce integration with ML Platform  

   • You will navigate to the Madison Logic platform and log in. From the navigation bar, select Manage Integrations. Identify the Sales Intelligence window and click the Connect button under Gong. Allow the platform to connect to your Gong account. Click Setup and then enter. You're ready to go!

3. WHAT LICENSES ARE NEEDED FOR THE GONG INTEGRATION?  

   • With a Madison Logic integration, Gong users require an ML Platform license in order to view Madison Logic Insights in Gong. Setting up these licenses in Gong is free and easy to do.  

   • Here are the steps:   

     • From the navigation bar, select Manage Integrations   

     • Click Manage under Users  (The New Users tab shows your Gong users who do not have ML Platform licenses) 

     • Select the users who need ML Platform licenses.  

     • Click Create Users

4. WHAT DOES THIS INTEGRATION COST MY CLIENT?

   • The Gong integration is free of charge. You add ML Platform licenses for your Sales Gong users at no cost.

      

5. WHY DOES MADISON LOGIC PREFER A SALESFORCE INTEGRATION FOR THE GONG INTEGRATION?  

   • Gong uses Salesforce, specifically Salesforce AccountIDs, to understand and display information for the right Account.  

   • Madison Logic uses the same AccountIDs to match to Accounts (Domains) on ML Platform.  

   • As a workaround, Madison Logic allows a client to manually upload their Salesforce Accounts and IDs as a way to perform the matching. See the Gong Manual Upload page for more details.

      

6. MY CLIENT IS INTERESTED IN THE GONG INTEGRATION, BUT DOESN'T HAVE SALESFORCE CONNECTED TO ML PLATFORM. WILL THERE BE A WAY FOR THEM TO LEVERAGE THIS TOOL?

   • The reason a Salesforce integration is preferred is because we need to match the Account information in Madison Logic to the client's system. Our default sync is through Salesforce, using AccountID and Domain.

   • As a workaround, the client will have to manually upload their Salesforce accounts to our platform. See the Gong Manual Upload page for more details.

   • We are exploring other capabilities that could expand the addressable market, including HubspotCRM.
