Troubleshooting and FAQs

  1. What level of permissions do I need?

    1. You need admin permissions in order to be able to read and write.

  2. Can I use the same account for both Salesforce and Pardot?

    1. Yes you can.

  3. What version of Pardot’s APIs do I need to be using to successfully integrate?

    1. Pardot is currently on version 5 of their Account Engagement API. Madison Logic supports versions 3, 4, and 5.

  4. Do I need to use my personal Salesforce/Pardot account to authenticate?

    1. It is possible to do so, but it is recommended to create a specific, shared account to manage the authentication. This way, if a person leaves the organization, is on vacation/leave, or otherwise unavailable, the team can still access and authenticate.
